How an ION LIFE Water Alkalizer Works

A modern water alkalizer operates as a

simple kitchen appliance.

Let's look at the simplest of all; the ION LIFE MicroLite

The Microlite sits next to your kitchen sink. An inlet hose comes from your faucet where you move a lever to choose to divert water to the alkalizer or to the sink.

There are two outlets;

• The alkaline ionized water comes from a stainless steel flexible spout at the top of the unit.
• The acidic water comes from a plastic hose at the base of the unit and drains into the sink or a receptacle.

To operate, turn on the faucet, turn the diverter lever on your faucet, and collect the alkaline water from the top spout for drinking. To stop flow, turn off the water at the faucet.It's that simple.

As water flows into the Microlite, it passes through a powerful filter to remove pollutants from the water, then uses onboard electronic computer control circuits to manage the alkalizing and ionizing function and the splitting of the water into acid and alkaline streams. The onboard computer also controls an automatic self-cleanse function to maintain maximum performance fro the life of the system.

All models work in the same basic way.

• Some self-cleanse after operation rather than before. (Melody)
• Some self-cleanse as they operate (Alphion, Delphi)
• Some sit on the sink but attach to the mains water line under the sink.  (Alphion, Melody)
